Come see me at the boutiques!

The Kottage Kupboard Christmas boutique is here again! Time sure does fly... most of the time, I'm happy about that! :) The boutique is November 19-22. Click on Shows & Events on the left side of the screen for the hours and location.

Also coming up is the Christmas Tree Jubilee, which benefits the Weber School Foundation. This is my third year participating in this boutique because I feel so strongly about the cause. I donate a large percentage of my profits to help the special needs kids in the Weber School District. Please join with me in my donation by purchasing Rock Your World Jewelry. Christmas is right around the corner, and you know you need to start (or finish) your shopping, so come see me!

I'm sure you are all feeling the financial pinch with the recent changes in the economy; believe me, I'm feeling the pinch too! During this difficult time, I ask you to remember the small family owned businesses out there. It's easy to run over to Wallyworld, but please do what you can to support the little guys as well. Our businesses depend on you! Okay, didn't mean for that to sound like a guilt trip or anything!! Enough said...

One more thing, if any of you are on facebook, let me know so I can add you to my friends list! And if you aren't on facebook, you should check it out. It's a great way to get in touch with friends; friends from school, friends in your neighborhood, and friends that you might not even know personally. (heeehee, I am friends with Ryan Shupe from Ryan Shupe & the Rubberband, even though I don't personally know him!) Because of facebook.com, I am also able to keep in touch with my cousin who lives in Australia. Before facebook, I went about 15 years without talking to her. It's great to be in touch again. So check it out!

Lastly, thanks for reading this, I know I'm a bit long-winded! I'll be watching for you at the boutiques coming up.

Trying to get caught up...

For the first time in over a month, I am able to find time to sit down at the computer! Since the last time I blogged, I had an open house (at my house), did the Kottage Kupboard Cornstalks & Pumkins Boutique, was a vendor at the Triangle of Empowerment Retreat, and had a large display of my inventory at Dave's Health & Nutrition in West Jordan (one of the stores that sells my jewelry) for their bi-annual Sale Day. I worked my little fingers to the bone to make enough inventory for all of these events.

I've also been making special necklaces that I designed exclusively for Rhonda Phillips of Pure Elements Essential Oils. She sells the necklaces in a special kit that also includes her oils. Rhonda is a beautiful woman, with a beautiful heart who lives to serve and help others. Check out Rhonda's website, there is a link listed in my Favorite Sites. If you would like to see the necklaces and/or take a class from Rhonda, please call her.

Looking back over the past month, I feel very blessed to have such wonderful customers! I don't know if I could ever articulate the gratitude I feel for each of you that support my business. Every purchase means so much to me. It means that I can continue to work at home, to carpool my daughter and her friends every day, to be here to make dinner (even if it's a frozen pizza!), and it means that I get to express my creativity, doing something I love, all the while being able to pay some of the bills. All this, because of YOU! Thank you.

I am hoping to find time to finish listing my Health & Wellness Jewelry on etsy.com. So please keep checking in. Hope to see you soon! ~jen

Trying to get Rock Your World Jewelry on the web...

Speaking of going back to school...this week I've been taking webinars and doing lots of online research trying to figure out how to get my website found. My brain hurts from thinking so hard! I have a large group of local supporters (if you are one of my loyal, local customers, THANK YOU!), but I have yet to figure out how to get my friends that I haven't met yet onto my website. My research led me to here...a blog! So I'll be posting jewelry news as well as personal and family updates (just for fun!)

The First Day

I feel like I'm the new kid at a new school, and I show up wearing two different shoes because I got dressed in the dark! Okay, it's not that bad... But I am all new at this blogging thing so we'll see if I can figure it out as I go.
